PoZ' Restaurant & Bar Calibishie

My spouse and I ate here several times, breakfasts and dinners, while in Calibishie. The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. The burger is one of the best I've had anywhere, my spouse loved everything she tried. The coconut curry octopus knocked her socks off! Just be sure to reach out to Poz on WhatsApp.

The service and atmosphere is 100% you also get alot of food for your money and it's really delicious. It's a great spot for locals based on the designs but also works well for foreigner's visit

Great personalized menu - we went twice while in Calibishie. Owner, Poz and his staff are very friendly. We had the delicious coconut shrimp appetizers, beef stew, octopus plate. The second time, he made us breaded chicken breasts. Highly recommended while in town.

This food was amazing! Went for several nights. No matter what time we showed up he was always willing to start our dishes and make our drinks. Loved the experience

I had eaten there several times during my stay. Food is really good especially the honey bbq wings and the burgers. Apparently the sea food is amazing as well. I'm allergic so could not have any.

This is a true hidden gem. If you’re fortunate enough to be able to get in there just wait for what’s to come. The menu fluctuates but there is always superb food and drinks Troy and staff are great hosts. So far we’ve had lobster served with garlic butter, and coconut milk. Lobster Alfredo, crawfish, coconut shrimp. Crab cakes, wow hamburgers, steaks, and more tonight. So yes go but just not when I’m trying to get a table.

We preordered our food for an evening reservation and all dishes came after 40min except mine. The dishes were half cold, good besides that. When my dinner finally arrived everybody else was already done eating. The salad came without a dressing and on request they did not have any either.
The wine, 20EC$ for a tiny glass, is unnecessarily expensive and the glass wasn’t even full.
The bill on top had a 10% service charge, which was not communicated before and it is not customary in Dominica either.
Kind of disappointing.

Many years ago on the first night of my first trip to Dominica, I had dinner at Poz. I enjoyed it then and continue to enjoy it to this day. Great everything. Troy makes a delicious homemade burger, no frozen patties here. Had shrimp Alfredo over fettuccine last evening. This is a great place to come with friends to relax and have fun.

Troy was an amazing host. The staff and service was on point from the drink service to overall attention to myself as a guest. They really do make you feel like family. The food was incredible and the ambiance was soothing. Would definitely visit again.

Troy was not only an excellent dinner host but an awesome chef. He was very accommodating to dietary restrictions as well… so for those that eat plant based and are staying near calibishie, this place should be your go to. Great food, chill atmosphere and just a straight up good time.

A great meal of fresh lobster here last night, and probably a few too many rum punches! Well worth the walk up from the village which we slightly underestimated, to be warmly welcomed by the owners who are very friendly, and share a similar taste in music to our own.
Pay a visit if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!

We went to Poz on two occasions.once on our arrival in the area after already spending 10 days on Dominica, and then again last evening with guests for their last night on the island. In both cases the food was awesome with a good selection of entrees. I personally loved the chatou (octopus) and the specially prepared pork dinners. Troy (Poz) was a welcoming host and we enjoyed the ambiance and his company. Definitely a go-to restaurant in the Calabishie area.

Our host got ahold of Troy and he sourced and prepared us some delicious local lobster. What a treat to spend some time chatting with him. Thanks again for such a nice night, best wishes - Marion and Rich

We went to PoZ' two days in a row and the food was amazing. Ask Troy in advance and he might be able to source some delicious lobster for you that he will cook to perfection. We also had snapper and mahi mahi, also excellent. Troy is great to chat to and has many interesting stories about life on the island.

Troy was a great host. We really enjoyed our Christmas Day lunch so much that we went back in the evening for drinks and again Boxing Day evening with friends that we had met there. He is excellent company and great to talk to. He has lived in Dominica for 10 years and gave us lots of information and advice about the island. If we come back to Dominica we will definitely be heading straight for Poz.

This is the atmosphere that makes you feel good about driving far and spending your hard earned money. I would pay for the service, cameraderie, appreciation, humility all over again even after driving an hour and a half with two children who complained the entire drive but who devoured their level of comfort and FOOD.the food cannot be described with just words. I implore a try.simply AMAZING! Bondieu just mentioning the food makes my mouth water all over again!

If you are not into the nature or rustic thing this is not the place for you. Do your research properly before heading out to this place.
